We design, manufacture and supply Cheese Making Equipment to suit individual clients needs. We listen, analyze and problem solve, we concentrate on high quality hygienic equipment.

Design and manufacture

We provide the customer with the most hygienic, robust solutions available to suit a wide range of cheeses and client requirements. We manufacture belting designed and built specifically for cheese making applications, from there a high degree of customization for cheese type is possible — including curd in-feed design, curd drainage, mellowing/cheddaring, curd height control, curd retention, milling of the curd. Having complete control of the design process means we can supply machinery specific to your requirements.

Innovation in design

Innovative Dairy Systems was approached by one of its partners to come up with a new heavy-duty Curd Mill design that could handle low moisture cheeses such as Parmesan and other hard cheese types. Innovative Dairy Systems has developed the IDS Quad-Cut Curd Mill. The first of these heavy-duty Curd Mills went into production early 2021 in a South African plant, followed closely by a 3.0m wide IDS Quad-Cut Mill into a US plant capable of 8.0 t/hr.

Salting systems

One of the toughest areas in a cheese plant is the salting. Not only is it in constant contact with the harsh salt, but also the heat, moisture and chemicals of the cleaning process. As a result we developed our own heavy duty linear rail to provide consistent and adjustable salting to the curd mat while reducing overall maintenance . Supplied on all our new machines, we have also upgraded existing salting units on older machines around the world.
